Talking should be reserved for afternoon and evening times only. Morning chatter should be kept to a minimum. Reasons for talking in the morning include:
1) Saying things like "pass the pancakes" or "no no Roy, I'll pay for breakfast put your wallet away!"
2) Questions relating to work. Example when I arrive at the office I was fine with "Hey Roy how do I fix/find/do this..." However, if you said "Good morning" prior to the question, you lost points.
3) Talk like "wanna hit Starbucks on the way to work?" Perfectly acceptable.
4) Grumbling under your breathe with no expectation of an answer. Good morning talk.
Unacceptable morning talk would be things like:
1) This is the worst..."Good Morning" Spoken in sing song tones. What's that all about?
2) Questions about the forth coming day. Don't ask because until noon I am trying to devise ways to avoid everything I have to do that day.
3) When we are at Starbucks saying things like "Don't you just love a morning Chai?" (again in sing song tones). Of course I do but do not talk about it!
Hopefully these examples will help you to understand the no morning talk rule. Its all about my mood of course. One morning I may just want to talk and I will do it in sing song tones. Of course that may not last so you should be ready for the big fall. Brace yourself, its Roy in the morning!

Roy! I'm so thrilled you've started a blog. Good name for it, too. I just sent you an email and it bounced back. Do you have a new contact address? Let me know.
